Carl Humphrey

Carl began his career with Alaska West Express in 2006 as a Freight Operator in the Fairbanks yard. He later transferred to the Chemical Transfer Facility, where he worked as a Technician responsible for loading Intermediate Bulk Containers (ISO tanks) and cargo tanks, as well as offloading general service railcars. Carl was eventually promoted to Supervisor of the Chemical Transfer Facility.

From 2012 to 2023, Carl worked as a local and line Driver specializing in bulk chemical transportation, delivery, and new driver training. In 2023, he joined the HSSE team as a HSSE Specialist and Driver Trainer. 

Carl is an instructor for Lynden Training Center equipment operation courses, including Commercial Motor Vehicle driver training, Entry-Level Driver Training, forklift, loader, manlift, skid steer, and zoom boom operation. He also instructs courses on hazardous materials transportation in accordance with 49 CFR, Traffic Incident Management, and serves as an American Traffic Safety Services Association-Certified Flagger Instructor.
