Tyler has been with Alaska West Express since February 2012. His emergency response experience began in 1992 when he joined the local fire department, ambulance service, and specialized rescue team.

Jim has been an instructor for the Lynden Training Center since the day it opened in 1995. His background includes 9 years with the United States Air Force as a Crash/Fire/Rescue (CFR) Specialist and Fire Inspector.

Brandon Doherty

Associate Instructor

Brandon is an active member of the Fort Greely Fire Department and Fairbanks North Star Borough Hazardous Materials Response Team. He currently holds the rank of Lieutenant on the Fairbanks North Star Borough (FNSB) HazMat Team and Captain with the Fort Greely Fire Department. He earned degrees in Municipal Fire Control and Hazardous Materials Control from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Brandon has worked for Lynden Training Center since 2008.

Fred has been working for Lynden for more than 40 years as a professional truck driver and pilot car operator. He has been an instructor for the Lynden Training Center since 2006. Fred brings his vast professional operator experience to the Lynden Training Center’s equipment operator courses.
