Lynden has been on the scene at some of the world's worst disasters dating back to the 1989 Valdez oil spill in Alaska. With our multimodal capabilities and array of transportation equipment, Lynden is the first and logical choice for disaster relief and emergency response.
Working with the Federal Emergency Management Association (FEMA), the Red Cross and the U.S. military, our Hercules aircraft have been put into service to help deliver emergency vehicles, portable hospitals and relief workers to ravaged areas like Haiti and Indonesia. Our planes have also assisted in oil spill response and cleanup around the world. On the ground, we have barged emergency supplies to flooded Alaska communities and trucked rescue dogs to New Orleans to help search for victims of Hurricane Katrina. We have marine equipment outfitted for environmental cleanup support and have supplied floating emergency response units to support oil drilling ships in the Beaufort Sea. Lynden teams and equipment are ready to mobilize on a moment's notice.
Our ability to call upon the strengths of varied companies for support in any move or project sets us apart from our competitors. The combined expertise of more than 15 transportation and logistics companies gives us the capability to handle the most complicated, difficult projects for our customers — assignments most other companies wouldn't touch.
