| Freight Forwarding |
| We ship seafood (at the request of the customer) from Anchorage and Seattle to points all over the United States. This is done using air carriers and surface carriers depending upon the customers need. |
|
|
 |
| Movers Tracking |
Each air freight shipment is electronically tracked to the destination airport. If a deviation is detected in the routing we have requested, the air carrier is immediately contacted and an alternative routing is requested. This monitoring process has produced many saves since we initiated the tracking system and it has become a vital part of our customer service and claims prevention program.

| Refrigeration |
Movers has become known as the cold guys’.
With much of the seafood season now
encompassing the warm seasons throughout the
nation, we are very sensitive to temperature
control. When product is received by Movers from inbound air or surface carriers, it is immediately placed under refrigeration. These temperatures are continuously monitored and electronic records are kept. Product is tendered to outbound carriers as close to departure time as possible in order to keep product under refrigeration as long as possible.
If it is anticipated that product will be in an unprotected environment for any period of time while in possession of the air carrier, we will provide the air carrier with form fitted insulated blankets that fit over the outside of the air carrier containers thus providing temporary protection from the elements.
Another method of maintaining proper product temperature is through the use of cool guards.
These consist of high tech insulated blankets that fit inside the air carrier containers and are wrapped around the product once the air carrier container has been loaded. There is an extra charge for these cool guards but, we have not seen a single loss of product when these cool guards have been used. Use of cool guards would only apply when shipping container quantities. There would be no practical way of using them in conjunction with loose shipments. |

| Prepayment of Charges by Movers |
One of the roles we fill as your handling agent is to negotiate the most favorable air carrier rates possible. We have been quite successful in this regard however, one of the requirements of the air carriers has been to charge air freight charges traveling under these reduced rates
only to Movers account.
Because of this requirement it must be
understood that if there is a claim involved
with an air carrier and, the air carrier
does not honor the claim, the user of our
service cannot penalize Movers by
withholding payment of freight charges for
that shipment. It must also be understood,
the user of our services cannot further
penalize Movers for the value of the product by offsetting such claims against other charges owed to Movers. Since product travels on the air carrier airbill and is in the care and custody of the air carrier, that carrier is the carrier of record and, is responsible for the product subject to that carrier's rules and regulations.
If there is a claim involved, we will
gladly play any role necessary to bring the
claim to a satisfactory conclusion including
the role of claimant if that is made
necessary by virtue of the air carrier
requiring Movers to pay freight charges.
However, if the air carrier ultimately
rejects the claim, Movers cannot be held responsible for actions taken by the air carrier.
Since Movers is prepaying reduced rate air carrier charges as a courtesy to the user, the user must assume the same risk as though freight charges were being billed direct to the user.
These terms are already understood by most accounts with whom we deal but again, we felt it necessary to restate these terms so as to prevent any possibility of misunderstanding.
As mentioned above, these terms would
only apply in cases where Movers, Inc. was
required to prepay air freight charges to
Movers' account. |

|
We have developed an inventory system that allows us to account for every pound of product by net weight, size grade, and species that passes through our facilities and allows us to dispense this information instantly to all interested parties. This information includes to whom the product was sold, the carrier bill of lading, and the species and net product weight for each bill of lading used.
At the end of each day, the product owner is provided a recap of what has been sold and what is left in inventory. When a particular lot has been completely sold, the product owner is provided a recap of all transactions pertaining to that lot.
The product owner uses this information for a variety of purposes including confirmation that all product on a particular lot has been properly invoiced. |

 |
| Booking |
Based on preliminary information received from the customer, space for each shipment is booked with the appropriate air carrier. At the time of booking, the customer may receive an airbill number and/or preliminary flight information from our operations people. We generally select the air carrier based on the lowest available rate that still meets the customer service requirement.
On occasion, the carrier with the lowest rate may not be able to provide the customer with the service level required in which case it would be necessary for us to look for the next best combination of rates/service that meets the customer need. |

 |
| Communication |
We recognize communication as being a major element in the success of any seafood shipment.
In addition to making absolutely certain we understand the shippers instructions, a facsimile airbill is sent to shipper and consignee on all shipments departing from Anchorage . This facsimile airbill includes air carrier used, air carrier airbill number, air carrier flight number, flight arrival time/date, and all pertinent product information such as species, weight grade, and net weight shipped. |
