Transport Announces Web-based EZ Invoicing
February 2, 2005 - Lynden, has unveiled a new service called EZ Invoicing.
Part of the company’s EZ Commerce suite of web-based services,
EZ Invoicing enables Lynden customers to obtain their billing electronically,
via email rather than in paper format.
“Now EZ Commerce customers are able to receive their invoices
faster via email instead of via the Post Office,” reports Alex
McKallor, president of Lynden Transport. “Since we provide customers’
billing in Adobe’s standardized Portable Document Format, those
using the service can save their invoices electronically, as well as
print and forward them at their leisure.”
Not only do EZ Commerce customers have access to the EZ Invoicing feature,
but they are able to request freight pickups online, generate and print
shipping documents and labels, and have access to management, operations
and accounting reports – all directly from the Web. The service
also builds and stores users’ shipper and consignee information
for quick retrieval on subsequent shipment requests, minimizing time
spent on shipment entry.
Additionally, registered EZ Commerce users automatically qualify for
Lynden's EZ Trace service. With EZ Trace, Lynden customers can obtain
detailed shipment status information via the Web, including shipment
progress to destination, status reports, and images of signed delivery
receipts. EZ Trace also lets users drill down through shipment information
to obtain costs, reference numbers, and other specific shipment characteristics.
“Customers who utilize the suite of EZ Commerce features really
like it,” according to Mike Oliver, vice president of sales. To
learn more about EZ Commerce, prospective customers can, go to www.lynden.com/ezship.html,
take a demo and sign up using the EZ Commerce link.
