    The project consisted of expanding the primary runway safety area from a width of 300 feet to 500 feet along its entire 8,400-foot length.

    Nightmute Airport Rehabilitation

    Knik was a prime contractor on the Nightmute Airport Improvements job. Nighmute, a Yup'ik village of over 200 residents is located on Nelson Island in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta Region of Western Alaska.

    The St. Paul project included 15" of foamed asphalt treated base on the runway, taxiway and apron and 34,000 tons of hot mix asphalt (HMA) to pave the runway, taxiway and apron.
